3 INCHES OF BLOOD Drops Off THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, HATE ETERNAL Tour
February 7, 2008Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have released the following statement:
"Unfortunately we've had to drop off the remainder of tour with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, HATE ETERNAL, and DECREPIT BIRTH. We will also be missing our Canadian dates, February 16-23, with RAMMER. It was not an easy decision to make, but due to the rapidly declining weather in the remaining areas of the tour we have decided that it would be unsafe to continue touring in these conditions. We have had a great time with all of the bands on this tour, so it is especially disappointing to have to cancel our remaining appearances. We are committed to rescheduling our appearances in all the cities we will be missing, but when the weather is warmer and the roads less treacherous. Sorry to disappoint anybody, but we would rather stay safe and live to play another day."
3 INCHES OF BLOOD will appear on MTV Canada's "MTV Live" on Wednesday, February 20.

Woozyfly.com conducted an interview with guitarist Shane Clark and bassist Nick Cates of 3 INCHES OF BLOOD in New York City prior to the band's show at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. They discussed such topics as their forthcoming video for the song "Trial of Champions" as well as the clip for "The Goatrider's Horde" being named one of the "Headbanger's Ball" Top 20 videos.

3 INCHES OF BLOOD recruited drummer Ash Pearson (SOUND OF THE SWARM, JUST CAUSE) for the tour with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, HATE ETERNAL and DECREPIT BIRTH. Pearson joined the group as the replacement for Alexei Rodriguez, who was unceremoniously dismissed from the band after he landed in a physical confrontation with SAXON drummer Nigel Glockler at the Hard Rock Hell festival in England this past November.
3 INCHES OF BLOOD has been added to Metal Hammer's Defenders Of The Faith tour. Running from April 23 to April 26, the tour also features OPETH, ARCH ENEMY and DEVILDRIVER.
The dates are as follows:
April 23 - Birmingham, UK @ Academy
April 24 - Glasgow, UK @ Barrowlands,
